Aleksandra is an expert in communication and conflict resolution with over 15 years’ experience in mediation, training and facilitation.
She has a PhD in sociology and an MA in intercultural relations.
She works as assistant professor at the Institute of Applied Social Sciences, University of Warsaw, she is also a guest lecturer and trainer at the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw and at the SWPS University of Social Sciences.
She has been working in the field of communication, strategic planning, participation and conflict resolution (also in intercultural settings) with public institutions (such as the Municipality of Warsaw), private organizations and NGO’s.
She is a mediator at the Centre for Dispute and Conflict Resolution at the University of Warsaw.
Aleksandra is also a migration scholar. She is an expert and associate researcher at the Centre for Migration Research, University of Warsaw. She is vice-chair of the Sociology of Migration Section at the Polish Sociological Association. She has been involved in many projects, both national and international, concerning social and cultural diversity, integration and equal treatment. Author of publications and conference presentations concerning i.a. cultural adaptation, intercultural contact and conflict management in culturally diverse settings.
